If you are skilled in any of these areas, please consider coming to help with any of these projects. You are also able to contribute financially or by donating materials.

We have two specific projects which require rock to be hauled in (the new staff house driveway, and the parking lot expansion).

We are looking for someone who would be willing to donate a road-worthy dump truck to help us haul rock from a local gravel pit. A truck and driver for 2-3 days would also be acceptable. As a reminder, we are a 501(c)3, so any donation of goods or services is tax deductible.

We have many beetle-kill spruce trees around the property that need to be felled, bucked, and stacked. These trees are a fire hazard, and it is a long-term, ongoing project for us to remove them. We welcome single-day and multi-day volunteers to help! No tools necessary except for gloves, ear protection, and eye protection. We can also fall trees ahead of time if you'd prefer to just work on the cleanup.

This is a great opportunity for a family, church group, or youth group to come help for a day.

We are putting together an outdoor gear shed for NSBS. This will be a selection of gear for students to use on adventure outings in and around Hatcher Pass. We are currently accepting donations for:​

• Camping gear (tents, camp stoves, etc.)

• Hiking gear (packs, trekking poles, etc.)

• Cross-country skis, boots, and poles

• Downhill skis, boots, and poles

• Rock climbing gear

• Ice fishing gear

• Any other gear that will help students have great adventures in the outdoors.

We have several remodeling projects that need to happen to prepare the current facilities for opening the Bible School. These are:​

• Insulating the art shack

• Moving the coffee shop to a new location

• Plumbing/wiring in student laundry facilities

• Interior paint, sheetrock work, and flooring in dorms/bunkhouses

If you want to donate materials, labor, or funds for these projects, please let us know.

We are looking for several individuals who are comfortable preparing and cooking meals for groups of 50-100 that would be willing to join a regular rotation of volunteers to help during summer camp, retreats, and the school year. You can serve as much or as little as you'd like. All menu planning and shopping will be done for you.

This is a great opportunity to use your skills to directly serve the students and campers at North Star!

We are in need of a large SUV (Ford Expedition, Chevy Suburban, etc.) with 3rd-row seating. 4x4 with a tow hitch is also a need. This vehicle would be used for driving staff and students to/from town in all weather conditions, for transporting student for outdoor activities, and for grocery shopping runs. We also may have a need for a cargo-style van for large grocery orders from Anchorage (Chevy Astro, Econoline van, etc.). If you'd like to donate funds for these vehicles (or if you have a vehicle to donate for this purpose) please  contact Luke (information listed above).
