JOB POSTINGS

General Duties as North Star staff:

 

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Devote yourself regularly to prayer and the study of God’s word.

• Be prepared to deliver short devotions as needed during staff meetings.

• Do all work as unto the Lord by maintaining appropriate punctuality, working habits, and demeanor towards coworkers, staff, students, and camp clientele. 

• Communicate regularly and clearly with other staff members.

• Conduct one-on-one and group discipleship with NSBS students as directed.

• Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.

 

Kitchen Assistant:

​

• Assist the Food Service Manager in all areas of work in the kitchen, including: food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen clean-up.

• Take the lead on some aspects of meal preparation as needed.

• Assist the Food Service Manager in training student kitchen helpers as needed.

• Assist all staff in general upkeep, cleanliness, and decoration of all common areas of camp

Facilities Assistant: Vehicles & Grounds:

 

• Assist in landscaping and grounds maintenance through lawn care, snow removal, tree management, vehicle maintenance, garbage removal, and other associated tasks as directed.

• Assist in new construction, current building maintenance, and campus-wide repairs as directed.

• Maintain vehicles and perform simple and complex repairs as required.

• Take initiative to learn new skills and complete directed tasks independently, with minimal supervision at times.

• Assist the Facilities Director in coordinating student work teams and teaching maintenance and construction skills to NSBS students.

• Assist and/or direct volunteer work teams as needed to complete short-term projects on campus.
