JOB POSTINGS

General Duties as North Star staff:

 

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Devote yourself regularly to prayer and the study of God’s word.

• Be prepared to deliver short devotions as needed during staff meetings.

• Do all work as unto the Lord by maintaining appropriate punctuality, working habits, and demeanor towards coworkers, staff, students, and camp clientele. 

• Communicate regularly and clearly with other staff members.

• Conduct one-on-one and group discipleship with NSBS students as directed.

• Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.

 

Food Service Manager:

​

• Plan a regular, predominantly homemade menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for retreats, summer camp, and Bible School students.

• Supervise and lead all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and cleanup.

• Manage and train two kitchen assistants and several volunteer kitchen helpers.

• Regularly shop for menu items as needed.

• Prepare a kitchen budget for regular review with the Executive Director.

• Delegate duties to other kitchen staff as needed to cover days off.

• Communicate menu and other pertinent items regularly to office staff in advance, and as required.

• Maintain food safety certifications of self, site, and staff.
